I've just run for fun/to get exercise in the past, but recently (I think thanks to Amber Green) I have wanted to become more of a "runner" - with the healthy/active/goal oriented lifestlye.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run a 10 mile and a half marathon within the next two years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I am training to run a 10 mile race this October (2015).

Personal:

I'm married to a wonderful man who will also be  my personal coach. We have 4 great kids ages 0-7years.  I love to dance and cook yummy, healhty meals/snacks/treats for my family.

I'm trying to find out the my avg heart pace right now. At 7:47 my average was at 157 for the first three miles. Then I stopped to use the bathroom. The last three miles I was at a 165 avg. I feel like I can be running faster but my heart rate isn't telling me so, is it? That's why I bumped back up to a 7:47 pace.

Hit 155. Now I did half my mileage but I think my Avg HR is dropping. This is feeling great. Zoo with grandpa and grandma Gayle today so I took it light.

I ran longer today so my HR is higher. 7:47 is feeling really comfortable now. The whole time. In the next few runs I'm hoping to turn it into a 7:41.

Avg pace was 7:16. I pushed this and at the end felt like I was going to hurl but it was a good run. There was a lot of head wind that made it rough and one decent sized hill that slowed me down. I'm happy with my time though.

Signed up for my first 10K. It's April 23rd. My goal is a 7:30 pace. I'm going to start increasing my weekly mileage and then hopefully the speed will start to follow. I'm happy that I'm starting to record what I eat. I have a runner's world cookbook that arrived yesterday and Colby is helping me with my runs. I'm happy o finally feel like I'm working on a goal and doing a pretty good job at it!
